Press release - On Friday 1st of November, Eosta has won the Sustainability Prize in the "Hillenraad" top-100 election of leading horticulture companies in the Netherlands, for its sustainable and organic approach. Gert Kögeler, commercial director of Eosta, accepted the prize during a gala night in Rotterdam, from the hands of Rabobank director Marco Hofland. Gert Kögeler: 'We are proud of this new recognition for Nature & More. Eosta is convinced that transparency is the key to sustainability.'
The slogan of this year's Dutch horticulture top-100 election was 'from small improvement to real change'. Rabobank put up an award around the theme of Sustainability. In a top-5 of nominees, the first prize went to Eosta. During the ceremony Gert Kögeler extended his thanks to the whole Eosta team and shared the honours with general manager Volkert Engelsman. 'Volkert has always plotted a consistent course to secure and communicate sustainability and transparency through Nature & More.'
Nature & More is the "trace & tell" trademark of Eosta, a leading European distributor of fresh organic fruits and vegetables, based in the Netherlands. Previously Nature & More has won the Ecocare Award in Germany (2012) and the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award in Austria (2013).
