With Organic Fruit Heroes, Eosta is introducing a new organic fruit concept that responds to a clear social and market development: declining fruit consumption among European children and growing parental concern about pesticide residues.

In 2025, Eosta's Organic Raingrown® products together achieved a water saving of no less than 1.6 billion litres. Water that is not extracted from scarce drinking and sanitary water, but comes entirely from natural rainfall.

The organic Medjoul dates from Morocco, produced by Les Délices Majhoul, have been ranked number one worldwide by TasteAtlas in its Best Dates in the World 2025 list.

A new year, a fresh start. Both the Eosta website and the website of our transparency brand Nature & More have been given a makeover.

This week, Questionmark launched Superlist Environment Europe 2026: the first benchmark that provides insight into how 27 leading European supermarkets are addressing climate change. The analysis looks at emission reduction and the role of supermarkets in the shift towards more plant-based foods, among other things.

Carpe Diem has been a trusted partner for our organic grapes from South Africa for many years. This week, the first Early Sweet grapes will be harvested and shipped, so that — assuming normal transit times — they will be available before Christmas. Once again, the quality is excellent, with good size and high brix.

Increased volume, strong quality and a rapidly growing market are putting pressure on availability.

At the end of November, we visited ProPlum, our stone fruit grower in South Africa. Our visit during the harvest season was greatly appreciated by Paul Roos senior and junior and their team, and gave us the opportunity to see the fruit during the harvest season, just before it was shipped to the Netherlands.

Week 12 marks the start of the Tanzanian season of award-winning Organic Raingrown Avocados! Grown on 100% rainwater, these premium avocados contribute to a more sustainable future. Organic Raingrown is available year-round, with origins from Mexico, Tanzania, Brazil and Kenya. 

In early October, the EAT-Lancet Commission published the report Healthy, Sustainable, and Just Food Systems. The report builds on the influential 2019 EAT-Lancet report, which introduced the Planetary Health Diet, and is the most comprehensive scientific analysis of global food systems to date.
